At Vitality, we know there are many good reasons to embrace diversity. It's good for our employees, good for business, and good for society. Diversity helps spark innovation, which is part of our DNA and our values.

That's why we want all our brilliant people to bring the best of themselves to work. Giving our people the freedom to be the best version of themselves helps create a stronger sense of belonging and promotes a healthier, happier, high-performing workplace.

"Diversity and Inclusion at Vitality is all about promoting and celebrating our differences to create a great working environment.

This is what helps drive our success and reinforces our values of ‘Great People’ and ‘Liberating the best in our people’. We aim to provide great opportunities for personal and professional growth which deliver success for our employees, and great outcomes for our members and Vitality. Diversity and inclusion yield great richness when embraced positively - everybody wins."

- Deepak Jobanputra, Chair of our Let’s Talk Race forum.

One business. One global D&I strategy.

As a global organisation – with offices in South Africa, Asia, the US and the UK – we have a single D&I strategy that respects our shared values. This unified approach shapes how we listen to our people, grow our talent and build an environment where everyone can thrive.

Our inclusion forums incorporate voices from across all our regions, helping us shape inclusive practices that reflect our global community. We also run an annual leadership programme, in partnership with everywoman, to connect with businesses and organisations all over the world.

Our global mentoring programme supports high-performing, high-potential talent – with over half of mentees identifying as female or from an ethnic minority background. And across our regions, we apply a gender and ethnicity lens to succession planning, to ensure fair and representative talent pipelines.

We're proud of these steps – and we're just getting started. We'll continue to develop our global D&I strategy, to ensure that all our workplaces enable everyone to thrive, wherever they are in the world.

Progress on gender representation: As signatories to the Women in Finance Charter and the Race at Work Charter, we're committed to building a more inclusive workplace. In 2025, we achieved our target of gender parity at senior levels and have reduced our mean gender pay gap by 11.2%

Championing underrepresented talent: We are proud to work with the 10,000 Interns Foundation, supporting diverse talent in their early careers.

Inclusive hiring: We've launched interview skills training for hiring managers, with a focus on recognising and addressing unconscious bias.

Flexible and supportive benefits: We offer competitive parental leave, flexible working options, and comprehensive wellbeing support covering fertility, menopause, and dedicated men's health services - reflecting our commitment to supporting every stage of life for all employees.

Advocacy for wider change: We've backed campaigns to make ethnicity pay gap reporting mandatory in the UK.
