What this role is all about:
The Intern Junior Accountant will play a foundational role in supporting the finance team through accurate financial processing, administration, and budgeting support. At its core, the role ensures that financial data is captured, reconciled, and maintained reliably, enabling informed decision-making and strong financial governance across the business. It’s an entry-to-early career role where the individual contributes to core finance processes while building practical experience and capability.
Key Actions
- Deliver accurate month-end financial processing, including expense accounting and reconciliations to ensure reliable reporting
- Execute balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, identifying variances and resolving discrepancies timeously
- Provide financial control support, contributing to audit readiness and ensuring compliance with finance standards
- Resolve finance-related queries from business partners, enabling clarity and informed decision-making across teams
- Support budgeting and financial administration activities, contributing to effective financial planning and tracking
- Contribute to finance projects and system enhancements, including testing, implementation support, and delivery against defined plans
- Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate financial information flow, strengthen alignment and operational efficiency
What do you need to thrive?
- Relevant academic foundation, including a Diploma (or Degree) in Accounting or Financial Management, providing strong grounding in core finance principles.
- Solid working knowledge in finance, built through early-career experience (±1 year) or exposure to a finance environment.
- Proficiency in Excel (basic to intermediate level) to support reconciliations, analysis, and reporting tasks
- Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP or Sage, enabling effective navigation, processing, and data management
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial processes, aligned to degree-level capability within the discipline
- Developing professional capability, with the capacity to build depth of knowledge through hands-on experience and continuous learning
